Qingdao 6 camera(Agfa Optima Sensor Flash)

It was an interesting little guy....

For those who are not familiar with this camera, the below provides a background understanding:
  • 35mm camera
  • A Chinese clone of the Agfa Optima Sensor, a German camera from the 1980s
  • Folding camera design that makes it portable and easy to carry around.
  • Built-in Flash: A convenient feature for various lighting conditions

I shot different film brands with the Qingdao 6, like Tmax, Kodak Gold, B&W or color, and all came out positively. It was a fun experience.
No, the camera does not have a focusing mechanism; you have to use zone focusing. That's why its operation was so simple!
There were 3 "Stops" on the lens barrel that one could choose for the focusing range, and they were mostly quite dependable.

Some Kodak Gold200, under a well-lit environment, examples below:

Some examples of dim, interior market space:

There was no aperture control and the exposure was automatic. But you can adjust the ASA whenever you want or make use of the attached, oversized flash.

I enjoyed using this little guy because of its simplicity. I mean, in doing analog shooting, or shooting in film, the most important factors are the kind of film one uses and how to develop afterward, right?

The lens was a 40mm focal length with f2.8 capability.

One can always change the ASA to attempt for push or pull development. Just make sure you take good notes :)

    Examples of 100Tmax:

All the above examples were under minimal editing.
