Ektar100 and Super Fujica 6 folder

It is the rainy season here in Vancouver, BC. Not exactly winter yet, but kind of cool already, below 10 Celcius and wet.

I have some old films stored in the fridge for as long as I can remember, so I took one out and tested it with one of my newly acquired toys, a Super Fujica 6X6 folder.

Some details:

  1. Kodak Ektar100 negative, 120, expired on Nov. 2011.
  2. Camera: Super Fujica 6x6 folder, manufactured in 1955 with 75mm f3.5 lens

  3. Development: C41, normal exposure, by Kerrisdale Cameras.
  4. Scanning: Epson V700 scanner; Silverfast 6.6 software
  5. Image editing: minimal...Exposure X6
Surprisingly, the Ektar film, despite being 13 years past its expiration date, still exhibited its signature vibrant colors, fine grain, and high contrast. A truly remarkable find!
The Epson V700 and Silverfast combination have been reliable partners. Even as I've shifted to digital photography, this setup has consistently delivered impressive results.
The Super Fujica 6 is a charmingly aged camera that still holds its own. Its compact folding design and classic Fuji aesthetics drew me in. With its 6x6 film format and rangefinder focusing, I'm excited to capture special moments with it.
